Cozify ZEN is a programmable IoT controller with open APIs, designed to combine wired and wireless automation protocols into one manageable system. It can be used as a central integration and control layer for smart building, technical facility and IoT projects.
Cozify ZEN is designed to be a hub / controller of smart device fleets that require centralized monitoring, control and integration across multiple technologies. It is suitable for both new deployments and retrofit projects where existing systems and device entities need to be connected to a modern, programmable control platform.
Yes. Cozify's IoT controllers are designed with AI-compatible interfaces and open integration possibilities in mind. This makes it possible to build customer-specific services and custom user interfaces on top of the platform where needed.
Cozify is a vendor free solution. Meaning, Cozify IoT controller integrations have been built for standardized automation protocols, not limited to any certain vendor or manufacturer.
Cozify ZEN is practically the same device as Cozify DIN. While Cozify ZEN can also be installed inside an electrical cabinet, it can additionally be mounted on a wall or placed on a table. Cozify ION is a wireless, lightweight Cozify IoT controller version that does not support wired protocols.
Yes. Cozify ZEN is built to combine both wired and wireless technologies in a single unit. Depending on configuration, it supports technologies such as Dual Nordic nRF52840, Zigbee 3.0, Z-Wave, Bluetooth Low Energy, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, M-Bus, BACnet/IP, HTTPS/REST, RS-232 and RS-485, allowing one controller to serve as the integration point for multiple technologies.
Yes. Cozify ZEN can be used as an add-on control and integration layer on top of existing systems. This makes it suitable for retrofit projects where the goal is to add monitoring, automation and remote management without replacing the full legacy setup. The legacy system can still work as a fallback.
Cozify ZEN and other Cozify IoT controllers are designed to operate locally as well. An internet connection is not required for local functionality, but it is needed for the initial setup, over-the-air updates and remote control.

Yes. One of the key strengths of Cozify ZEN is that it can combine wireless and wired technologies in one controller. This is useful in environments where modern smart devices need to operate alongside traditional building systems.
Cozify offers two-way, real-time and expandable support for multiple building automation technologies. Example technologies and integration targets include BACnet/IP, oBIX, KNX and vendor-specific HTTP/REST and WebSocket interfaces, depending on system requirements and project scope.
Yes. Cozify ZEN can be part of a larger automation setup where connected systems, devices and integrations are used for monitoring and control, including scenarios where energy-related data and automation logic are part of the overall solution. In addition to numerous different sensors, for example, Cozify HAN is able to provide real energy consumption data on a phase-specific level — data that Cozify ZEN is able to use as a basis for its automation decisions.
Cozify ZEN includes embedded controller-class hardware such as an ARM Cortex-A7 processor, 512 MB RAM, 8 GB eMMC, dual STM32 components, Ethernet, USB, internal expansion connectivity and a built-in hardware watchdog for operational resilience.
Yes. Cozify ZEN includes a hardware-level watchdog designed to help maintain operational capability in error situations. The built-in watchdog supports system recovery from certain software or hardware lock-up situations.
Yes. Cozify ZEN is designed to be mounted on a wall, inside an electrical cabinet, or placed on a table depending on the installation need. For DIN rail installations, Cozify DIN is available as a DIN-mountable version of the same product family.
In addition to the listed supported technologies and protocols, it's also possible to create a tailored custom technology setup - contact Cozify at pro@cozify.fi for options.
Yes. Cozify ZEN is designed as a modular and programmable platform, making it suitable for projects where technology support, integrations or functional scope may expand over time.
Cozify ZEN is intended for larger-scale B2B projects and businesses that need a flexible, programmable Open API IoT controller to reliably monitor and control smart devices as part of a larger connected device entity or device fleet.
Cozify ZEN has been also designed with capability to operate locally, adding an extra layer of reliability by enabling independent local functionality even without an online connection.
